St George the Great Martyr — Original Charcoal Drawing

A study of spiritual struggle, courage and the refusal to surrender to what seeks to conquer us from within.

St George became deeply personal to me during my own journey toward the Orthodox Church and through periods of spiritual struggle. His image remained with me as a reminder that faith is not the absence of battle, but the decision to continue fighting.

This original charcoal drawing is my interpretation of that meaning: strength without pride, courage rooted in faith, and the willingness to stand firm even when the battle is unseen.

An original, one-of-one work drawn entirely by hand.
